The HISTORY of the Ideal Insurance Agency

Ideal Insurance Agency is a family owned and operated business incorporated in 1983. Jack Mitchell and Dave Mitchell both with prior years of insurance sales experience started the home-based agency out of the home of Jack and June Mitchell. In 1984 Dan Mitchell with administration background relocated to Arizona to assist in service and sales.

Appointments to represent three preferred insurance companies set our foundation for growth. With prayer for success, hard work, positive attitude, and goals set, our agency experienced rapid growth. The introduction of insurance computer software greatly enhanced our agency’s growth in 1985. By the year 1988 Jack and June’s home was no longer large enough to house a growing business, and our agency relocated to one of its present locations at Thunderbird Road.

Over the past 24 years Ideal Insurance Agency has experienced 10 to 15% growth each year. This growth is attributed to repeat business by satisfied customers and new sales.

Our agency currently has a staff of 24 and services the personal and business needs of over 7,000 insureds. Three other locations have been opened to better serve Northwest Phoenix and its surrounding areas.

Entering the new millennium Ideal Insurance Agency was honored by the Glendale Chamber of Commerce as the Small Business Partner of the Year for 1999 and honored again as Chamber Member of the Year Award in 2001. Ideal Insurance Agency was once again honored in 2005 by Phoenix Business Journal as the North and West Alliance Stars for Phoenix. As an Independent Insurance Agency we take pride in providing selection, competitive pricing and top-notch service.
